Van Renesse

The family Van Renesse, now known as De Renesse, belonged to the high nobility of the County of Zeeland and later became an Utrecht noble family. The family persisted until the abolition of nobility in 1795. After 1814, members were incorporated into the new Belgian and Dutch nobility of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. The family has become extinct in the Netherlands but continues in Belgium.
